Johari Social Enterprise
The Johari Social Enterprise delivers not only world-class products, but economic opportunities for the children and young adults we work with in our Miale Community Programmes.
100% of all profits from the sale of Johari products is fed back to continue support and enable these programmes to become self-sustainable.
Johari
Johari is a quality fashion label that combines the best of Kenyan and UK design.
Meaning ‘something precious’ in Swahili, the driving philosophy behind Johari is producing clothes and jewellery that are not just beautiful, but ethical too. Through its apprenticeship scheme, Johari provides opportunities to vulnerable young women – teaching them tailoring and jewellery making skills to build a living for themselves and their families.
This isn’t a philosophy we just pay lip service to - we live it in everything we do. From our Design Council that combines talents from diverse backgrounds and skills, to our material sourcing, tailoring and production – we make every effort to ensure our fashion is beautiful outside and in.
